obama fever

so i haven't blogged in a long time.. i lost my password, but it is all reset and i work with this guy i work with blogs all the time, so i am back at it.

what have i missed.. McCain is the republic nominee.. and I really feel obama is going to make the demo one.. he has to just hold his ground for the next 3 on tuesday and i think hillary with quit.. oh that would be nice..

Just got home from bingo.. didnt win.,, that is lame. We were going to see jumpers, but mrs gleny is exhausted, so i think i am in for the nite.. Tomorrow is the PJ Party at the Headliner, so that will be good..

as far as photos, you know were to find them,, i did upload a photo a day for 2007.. if you missed all of the photos for the 2007 year, this is a fast way to catch up... as alway COMMENT on stuff folks..

it has been a while since i have blogged.. i do most of my communications on my myspace with bulletins and then all my photo journalism shit through the photo galleries.

season 1 of the manroom show is over, and during the off season, I will be working hard with the help of my friends that are helping with the show, to make a better stronger show.. some stuff will change, some stuff will say the same.. our first order of business is to edit and make the first season available... keep an eye out for that... and then sponsors and ads. then season 2 in september

been so busy i haven't blogged

sorry folks, i haven't had much time to blog.. What have i not blogged about.. hmm.... well episode 8 of the manroom show is next monday, we are over 1.6 million veiwers for the first 7 shows. So hard to beleive, but the world is eating this up!

so this week, we are doing a themed show... MANROON SHOW 2007- A SPACE ODDITY... should be great, AXEL FOLEY is the featured music act and it is going to be fun and frisky..

A full length preakness feature is in the works.. that was the first leg of the GDC triple crown of fun.. the 2nd jewel is the MERMAID PARADE and the 3rd jewel is JAYFEST 2007... keep watching for details.

TOMORROW... EMERGENCY last minute parade.. I need a marching squad... meet up at the gleny dot compound at 1030.. or at the clam hut 1130am... we are marching in the parade as the CLAM HUT float.. it should be a fun time.. nice short parade and a nice way to finish up the parade season..

burlesque at the asbury lanes

last nite mrs gleny and I went on a date to the burlesque a pades at the asbury lanes. It was my first time there and I really enjoyed the place. Great vibe,,, cool look.. It is an old bowling alley they turned into a music club thing.. It wasn't pompous, although some of the people there might think that they are too cool but what ever. I do like bad ass chicks with ink, and the place was crawling with em!

NEXT SATURDAY.,, THE LAST ST PATTYS PARADE.. we are marching with the shortbus in the highlands parade, meeting at the .compound around 10am

I couldn't make the trip to savannah and I really think it would have killed the shortbus, so I am just staying in jersey for the weekend. Saturday nite is BURLESQUE at the FAST LANES.. i wouldn't mind a few friendly faces coming along.. show starts early, like 830. We might go to bar a afterwards for some monika extended bday and what not.

I set up jay's cell phone to send photos to a gallery while he is in savannah. So that should be interesting...

tomorrow is SEASIDE PARADE DAY...
after a few attempts the seaside parade guy says the parade is over booked and there isn't room for us to march. So we will just be bar hopping. If i get up early I will drive the shortbus into town and park it somewhere central to the action. Tomorrow looks like no rain, but like 45degrees.. so dress accordingly and as far as where I am going.

bamboo, klees, spicys, jumbos and sawmill... the only fixed time for me is sawmill 3-5 for the amish outlaws.. my cell will be on! come play folks

THe hoboken parade was great, the cops not so much. The belmar parade day was fantastic as well. All the photos are up. and the master video of us marching in hoboken is still being editting by the gleny.com video team ( rich ).

Seaside is This saturday, I just got off the phone with the parade guy, they may or may not have room for us in their parade.. so we are on stand by.. Shit, but hey if we dont march, that means we can hit more bars in seaside..

had few interesting conversations the last 24 hours, and I think I am fed up with people... I am not going to bore you with details and with all the hate and crap around my life. But I am at a near end with my patience and my tolerance. This week is pretty low key til the weekend. I am hoping that I don't have a whole week of strife. A message for all the people out there who do not understand me or get me. STOP TRYNG.. I am a decent guy, with decent morals, and I like fun. I am not as complicated as you might thing. I am not diabolical or sorted. I do not have unpure intentions. I have a wife that I love. A job that is ok, and I have gleny.com. Somewhere where I can express myself with the photos that I take when I go out and do stuff. That is really it. Again, if you dont get that, stop trying. I am done trying to get people to like me. HOBOKEN PARADE UPDATE....
SATURDAY, next Saturday... march 3rd.

We are Division Three and are asked to assemble at NOON on 14 & Washington Streets in Hoboken..
The Parade route officially begins at 13th & Washington and proceeeds down to a reviewing stand at 1st & Washinton.

That is all I know this time. I won't be making punch, well I might be, but folks This winter Golden Palace isn't around, so if you are coming to parade, bring some booze or cash to chip in. Or Married Man gleny.com with a mortgage can't keep doing parades...

Man Attacked with Sword While Watching Porn

- An Oconomowoc man heard a neighbor watching an adult film, but mistakenly thought a woman was being raped.

Bret Stieghorst was watching an adult movie with the volume up loud. His downstairs neighbor, James Van Iveren, heard a woman screaming in the movie, but thought a woman was actually being attacked. Instead of calling police, he took matters into his own hands, ran up the stairs and broke down the door, all while brandishing a three-foot long military-style sword.

"He comes in with this three-foot long sword and starts pointing it at me, and going, 'Where is she?'" Stieghorst said.

Van Iveren continued to point the sword at Stieghorst while he searched the apartment to make sure no woman was being held against her will. When Van Iveren did not find anyone else in the apartment, he left.

Van Iveren was charged with criminal trespass while using a dangerous weapon, criminal damage to property while using a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct while using a dangerous weapon, misdemeanors which carry a maximum total penalty of 33 months in jail.

"The fact that he was at least trying to do something good, that's at least good," Stieghorst said.

Neighbors agree.

"I would be happy if someone tried to save me," Kandy Kimball said. "I think he's a good guy. I feel bad for him."

"It's kind of nice that we live in a town where people don't just turn their back and look the other way," David Peterson said. "I don't think he should be charged with three crimes. I would like to see the courts work with him and give the guy a little break."

"It was a woman screaming," Van Iveren said of the Feb. 12 incident. "She was screaming for help."

He grabbed the sword, a family heirloom, bounded up the stairs to the other apartment, kicked in the door and confronted Stieghorst.

"I intended to hold it behind my back and knock. But I froze and instead, what happened happened," Van Iveren said. "Now I feel stupid. This really is nothing, nothing but a mistake."

Van Iveren said that he does not have a telephone, so he could not call police when he heard the calls for help. He said he barely knew Stieghorst.

"It had nothing to do with him," he said. "I didn't even know if he was there. It was the woman. I thought there was a woman."

"I walked in the front room and looked around. When I saw there was no woman, I left," he said. Van Iveren insisted that he never threatened the neighbor with the sword.

"I had the sword extended. But that was all," he said.

Van Iveren will appear in court March 5. Stieghorst said the incident will not deter him from watching pornography, but he'll have to alter his viewing habits.

"I'm just going to watch it with the sound down, or I'll buy myself some decent headphones," he said.
